We offer residential courses, at our annual event in July, to over-18s who want to learn or improve their craft skills.
Individual tuition from knowledgeable tutors is provided in groups, usually of no more than 12 people.
You arrive on Monday afternoon to enroll, be shown to your accommodation, and meet your tutors and fellow students. Tuition is provided in morning and afternoon sessions on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. On Thursday evening there is a 'show-and-tell' where you can see the results of everyone's work, and on Friday morning we breakfast and leave.
The fee for full board and tuition on your chosen course is from £430, depending on your choice of course and accommodation. (This is only £10 more than last year!)
Accommodation is in single or double rooms and dormitories. We have communal, cafeteria-style meals; dinner is provided on Monday, breakfast on Friday, and breakfast, lunch and dinner on Tuesday through Thursday.
In the evenings a cash bar is available, and rooms are available for informal sharing and conversation or just relaxing, with 'dip-in' sessions some evenings (hosted by your tutors, for which there may be a small charge) to allow you to sample other crafts.
You will normally be expected to bring your own tools and materials, but (depending on the tutors) some materials may be included in the course fee or available to purchase on-site. See the individual course descriptions for more details. Tutors may also offer their own finished pieces for sale.
